Chapter 14

"Okay" I got up went over to Ali.

"Sweetie, i got to go do something"'

"Can i come with you?"

"no sweetie, not this time, Mario, and Nat are going to watch you."'

"Okay"

"be good"

"I will" I kissed her head, and went out to my car. I started the car, and took a deep breath. I stopped at a store got a small thing of flowers, When I got there I grabbed the thing of flowers and a picture of me and Ali. i haven't been out here since we got back. i tooked deep breath.

"hey baby" I laid the flowers down. "and here's s picture of me and Ali, she looking more and more like you everyday." I sat down on the ground.

"you have no idea, how much i miss you, me and Ali miss you" I put the picture down next to the flowers "I haven't brought her here yet but I think I'm gonna bring her around Christmas"

"I've been so scared, that I'm going to mess something with her." A tear run down my face."It's hard with out you"

I told her everything that happened this summer from the beginning to the end.

"well babe, i should get back Mario and Nat got Ali, i just needed to talk to you." i got up.

"I love you Kaylee"

I got in the car took a deep breath, got the tears out of eyes.

I got back to Mario's

"Daddy" Ali yelled running up to me. I picked her up.

"were you good?"

"yeah"

a couple hours later

we were getting ready to leave

"thanks Mario, Nat"

"thanks for coming"

I nodded, and started waling out the door

"bye Ali"

"Bye Mario"

I laughed "come here" i picked her up. i hooked her in her car seat, and went home.

Chapter 13

That weekend mario had his party, nat, and all the girlfriends and wives, were all over ali how cute she is and how much she looks like her mother.

Ali was in the back yard, with all the kids, I was on the pato.

"here man" staalzy siad handing me a drink

"no thanks"

"what? come on dude, have some fun." you could tell he's already had a few drinks.

"no thanks I have Ali"

"you always have Ali"

"she my daughter"

"yeah, but ever since Kaylee died, dude you haven't been, the same you don't go out with us no more,"

"i have a daughter."

"get a babysitter, man the world din't end when Kaylee died"

"Listen" I yelled grabbing him by the shirt, pushing him agiant a table. "I have more important things to worry about, when i'm going out next, and see how you'll feel if you girlfriend died."

"Sid" Marc said putting his hand on my shoulder. I looked over at him, and I saw Ali, we made eye contract. y her I propetly looked like a monster. I let go of him.

"Sorry man" I patted him on the crest and walked away, not looking back, and not looking Ali.

I went and sat on a bench in the backyrs on the side away from everybody. I can't believe I did that. I can't believe Ali saw it that hurt me the wrost. I was sitting there with my head down.

"Daddy" I turned around Ali standing there with the same look on her face.

"hey baby girl."

"Daddy, are you Okay?"

"yeah, I'm okay, come here" i put my hands out, she walked over, I picked her up , and sat her on my lap.

"you having fun"

"I was, why you push jordan, Daddy"

"I.....he said...umm"

Ali we both turned around it was Nat.

"Maruo got some cake in there, do you want some?"

"yeah" she looked at me.

"go" she took off running.

"thanks wasn't sure to how to answer that."

"yeah, I can tell"

"you Okay?"

"I don't know"

"do you think i'm doing the right thing, or should have I left her with my parents."

"I think your doing the right thing, and I don't she would have let you leave without her." she siad "Sid your a good Dad, don't let anyone tell you other wise"

"I'm just scared, i;m going to mess up"

"if you do, its normal"

"I just, I don't know"

"you'll be fine, you got alot of people behind you."

"thanks nat"

"your welcome"

"Daddy, come get some cake"

"can you watc her for a little bit?"

"yeah, where are you going?"

"I just have to do something."

Chapter 12

When we were done, I came out of the shower in sweatpants, a t-shirt, and my skates.

"Daddy why do you still have you skates on?"

"Well, I thought you could put these on, and we would go skating." i said holding out a pair of skates.

"really?"

"yeah, baby girl, whatha say, you up for it?"

"yeah" she yelled almost falling out of her seat.

"okay, Okay lets get these on you." I laughed

I put them on her i carried her out on the ice I put her down and she kept hold of my hand. She let go, and went backwards and fell.

"are you okay?" I asked trying not to laugh.

"yeah"

"just like you mother"

"what?" she asked

"the first time I got mommy on skate, she fell too, and you know what?"

"what?"

"you have her hair, and her eyes but you got my smile."

she smiled and giggled

"you want to try again?" I asked

"yeah" I helped her up, and she started to skate she looked pretty good out there. She fell a couple of times. I leaned up against the bench, watching my little girl skate for the first time. i grabbed a smaller stick and a puck and hide it behind my back, and skated up yo her, who playing around the net, and fell into the back of it. I laughed and helped her up.

"thank you" she said

"your welcome" she started to skate away

"hey wait come back here" I grabbed her arm.

"huh?"

"Do you want to try this?" I asked showing her the stick

"yeah" she smiled I give her the stick. I showed her how to hold it.

"Daddy, can you play with me?"

"Of Course" I went over and got my stick and a couple of more pucks.

I lightly passed it to her the puck and she stopped it.

"I stopped it, Daddy, I stopped, Did you see that?"

"yeah baby girl, try to hit it back" she tried she didn't hit it that hard.

"try it again hit it alittle harder." she did and it went wild. I just laughed.

Chapter 11

Later that week, me and Ali were in Pittsburgh

"hey Mario" I said

"hey"

"thanks for picking us up"

"anytime"

"hi Mario" Ali said

"hello sweetheart"

Mario helped me get the bags. when we got to my house. I unlocked the door and Ali ran inside.

"Mario Can I ask you something?"

"yeah"

"can I bring Ali with me to the practices, it just it's really hard."

"Sid, Its fine"

"really?"

"yeah, its fine"

"thanks Mario"

"your welcome"

"Don't forget about the party this weekend"

"I won't"

I walked into the house.

"Ali where are you?" I yelled

"in my room" she yelled back

I walked upstairs to see Ali playing

"play with me Daddy"

"I wish I could, nut i got to go unpack, do you want to help me?"

"no"

I laughed and went and unpacked.


It's 9:30 in the morning of on ice traning camp.

"Ali here" i said putting on my shirt on, and giving her clothes.

"what?"

"we got to go to the rink"

"Okay"

"here" I said helping her put on her clothes.

We left the house about 10:00

"hey Sid" one of the ushers Ben said

"hey"

"well who is this?" he asked getting down to Ali level and Ali was hiding behind my leg.

"this is Ali" i said

"this is little Ali?"

"yeah"

"hi little one"

she just hid behind my leg

"say hi sweetie"

"hi"

he justed laughed

"Uncle Max" Ali yelled

"Sugar baby" he yelled with his arms out, and she jumped into his arms.

"you get her while I go get change"

"yeah"

"thanks"

After I got changed I went to the lounge to see Ali sitting on the big black couch, with Max, and few other guys, watching cartoons. I laughed

About a hour late, I was on the ice. Ali was in the stand. I was the end of practice we were doing shot out. I was up.

"go daddy"

"That not fair, he got sheering section" Geno said, I just laughed

Chapter 10

A week Later I was getting ready yo go to Pittsburgh at the end of the week. My mom and dad came over to help me. About 12:00 I put Ali down for a nap.

"Sidney, Can I talk to you?" mom asked

"yeah" we walk in the living room, and sat down.

"I been thinking maybe Ali should say with us during the season."

"What?"

"we could come visit, you---"

"no" Is aid cutting her off

"Sidney--"

"no mom, she going with me."

"you have to think what best for Alison"

"The best thing is to be with her father"

"Sidney, I think she should be with us."

"No mom, she going with me. I don't know what I'm going to do yet but if I have to take her with me to every game, practice, interview, I will, but she not stay here." I yelled at her.

"Sidney, I think it for---"

"No" I yelled

"Don't yell at your mother like that." Dad said

"Dad, I'm not leave here, she's my daughter." I said "mom. I'm going to be there bad dreams, lose tooth, every cry, fell, and every bump and bruise."

"Daddy" Ali said

"Dad, I won't do it."

"Daddy" Ali yelled

I turned around "yeah, sweetie"

"why are you yelling?"

"no reason sweet heart why don't you go back to bed."

"I'm not tired no more."

"then go play, and I'll be up okay."

"okay"

I turn back around towards my mom.

"sorry, for yelling at you."

"It's Okay we just have to think whats best for her."

"We. mom Alison is my daughter, I think i should know whats best for her. and what i think is best is for her to be with me."

"what are you going to do?"


"i don't know mom but like what i said if I have to take her with me to every game, practice, interview.. i will."

"okay, but if you need anything you know just to call."

"I know, and mom i know your just trying to help but I need to try to do this by myself."

"I understand"

"thanks, now i have to get upstairs" I smiled

Sorry it's taking so long to update on this story, i have the next few chapter written but i want to write more before i start posting. i have writer's block I'm trying. i going to try to have a chapter maybe tomorrow or this weekend.
