Chapter 24

I am so so so so so sorry, it took so long but i have got in typed and i hope it was worth the wait. please comment. here it is.

Chapter 24

Kaylee mom was the first on the stand.

"Miss. Mitchell why do you think "you and your husband should have custody of Alison?"

"well, i've been a mother for a long time, and i'm a stay at home wife, and I think
we will always have time for her and gave her the attention that she needs." she said

"so you think Mr. Crosby doesn't give his daughter the attentions she needs?"

"how could he, he has games and he's on the road."

"so you think you and your husband are better then Mr. Crosby?"

"yes"

"okay, thank you, your honor."

"Okay, Mr.Miller " the judge said, and my lawyer stood up.

"Miss. Mitchell, you say that Mr. crosby doesn't have time for daughter?"

"yes"

"do you know that for sure?"

"well not-"

"answer the question yes or no"

"no, but his job and no one's there."

"your saying because he has a career he has no time for his daughter. Miss. Mitchell
did you know that Sidney has missed games in the pasted for Ali?"

"no sir."

"is there any other reason that you think sidney has no time for his daughter?"

"no"

"it doesn't have anything to do with that you don't like him."

she stopped for alittle "maybe a little" she said

"and also does it have anything with your duaghter pasting away?"

"he was the one driving the car." she said starting to cry,

"thank you, your honor" he said, and came back and sat next to me.

I was next. i sat up there and put my hands together. My lawyer was first.

"Sidney, how long have ypu been a single dad?"

"for about a year in a half."

"how do you think you been doing? " he asked me.

"i think i've been okay."

"You love her?"

"my daughter?"

"yeah"

"of crouse"

"what do you think is best for Ali?"

"to be with me, that little girl is everything to me."

"do you think you have made the right choices for Ali, since your wife pasted?"

"yes, their are timrs were you feel that you didn't, but don't all parents?"

"thank you Sidney, your honor." he said, then went to sit say down and their lawyer
stood up.

"Mr.crosby is it true thst you didn't bring her to see her grandparents?"

"no, but when i-"

"no was just fine."

"adjestion"

"go on Mr.Crosby"

"I brought her to see them, but they were mad that i didn't bring her around easrier
and really want to see her. " I said, their lawyer looked back at Kaylee parents.

"why did you finally bring her by?"

"because I though that how kaylee would want it."

"After your wife pasted way, why didn't you came sooner?"

"we betwwen getting over the lost of Kaylee, my career and taking care of Ali. i
didn't really have the time."

"so you ddidn't have the time to take your daughter to see her grandparents?"

"yes"

"but your parents know Ali, and Ali knows them?"

"yes"

"and you parents live in Canada"

"yes, they came down to visit, and we live there in the sumer., why couldn't Mr and
Miss Mitchell come over and see her." i said

"why couldn't you take her to see them?"

"i don't know" I saidm out my head down.

"thank you, your honor" he said and went to sit down.

I got up and sat doiwn next to my lawyer.

"This will finish on friday at nine am., and until then I went the child in the care
of childern servies until then."

"what?" I asked loudly, more like yelled at him.

"Mr.Crosby"

"Sidney" my lawyer said

You have an hour with her, get her stuff together,"

Then her parents got up and walked out.

"how?" i asked my lawyer.

"sometimes in custody battle they do this."

"why didn't you tell me?" I asked

"I really didn't think they would do it."

I got up, and walked out of the room.

"sidney" mom said

"Daddy"

"what happen?"

"they got her."

"they got her."

"not them, the state."

"what?"

"yeahm until Friday, when we came back and he gave us his choice." I said

"Daddy" Ali said reaching for me.

"we got an hour." I said, picking up Ali."hey sweetie."

"okay" mom said

We got home, Ali run in the house.

"what are you going to tell her?"

"i don't know" I said "i'm got ot get her stuff together"

"no, i'll do that, you spend time with her."

"okay, make you get her blanket."

"i will"

I went and sat on the couch with her.

"Baby girl, you want to color?" i asked

"yeah"

We were laying on the floor coloring.

"Daddy, i'm alway going to a better colorer then you."

"oh really?"

"yeah" she said , I laughed, theI heard the door bell ring I looked at my mom, and
she went to open the door.

"Sidney"

"come on, sweetie"

"what?" she asked

"come on" she got up, i went to the door.

"hello, Mr crosby." the women said

"hello" I said, then i got down to Ali level.

"sweetie" I siad grabbing her stuff

"are we going somewhere?" she asked

"you are, baby girl."

"are you?"

"no"

"grandma"

"no honey, jsut you."

"why?"

"you just got to, you got to go with this lady, and i'll you later this week."

"i want you to came"

"i can't"

"then i'm not going" She said, trying to run away. I grabbed her before she could
get away.

"Ali...........Ali" I said, she was trying to get out of my arms. i feel the tears
starting to come. she stopped moving "honey, you got to go, okay for me, do this for me., i'll see you at the end of the week."

"Daddy, are you crying?"

I put my head up. "yeah, sweetie" I said "here" i handed her blanket "and remember
me and mommy are alway with you." I said putting my hand on her lockit. she hugged
me.

"i love you" i said

"i love youy too Daddy."

"Mr. Crosby, we have to go"

"Okay" the lady grabbed Ali hand and her bag.

"bye , baby"

"bye, honey" mom said, kissing her forehead.

"bye grandma" I grabbed he head teh kissed her on the cheek. then they turned around
and walked out the door, I watch them get in teh carand drive away. I closed the
door whe they they were out of sight.Then i hit the wall, ThenI run my hands though my hair and rubbed my eyes.

"everything is going to be okay." mom said

I didn't say anything.

"i'm going to call you dad"

"okay"

The rest of the night i couldn't eat, and couldn't sleep. I tossed and turned, and I ended up walking around downstairs, then sat in the chair, on teh couch, laying on the floor. I didn't kno what to do with myself.

hey everyboby, first i want to say thank you to all the comments, new followers, and new readers. and also i have the next couple chapters done, but i'm having writers block after that, and i'm trying to get more writen before i update again, but i'm going to try to update as soon as i can. if you guys have any ideas, please leave a comment and tell me. and also i have another story that i know some of you are already reading the ones that aren't here the link.
